Project Description

An open archaeological excavation within a 13th century parish church and merchant family chantry chapel.

This project will see the re-opening of the 16th century Rothe Family Chapel, allowing visitors to watch archaeologists at work as they uncover further burial vaults and artefacts in front of their eyes. This project will also give an opportunity to local community groups to work on site with the archaeologists, gaining skills and knowledge on an actual archaeological dig.
